PowerPack Initial Installation Process

PowerPack Initial Onboarding Process

Getting started with PowerPack is a breeze! In just a few simple steps, you'll be up and running with this powerful tool in a couple of hours. Here's a breakdown of the initial installation process:

1. Information Gathering

First things first, we'll need some information from you. This includes:

  • Company Name: Let us know your company's official name.
  • Main Microsoft 365 Domain: Identify your primary Microsoft 365 domain.
  • Tenant ID: Provide your unique Microsoft 365 tenant ID.
  • List of Authorized Administrators: Share a list of users who will have access to manage PowerPack within your organization.

2. PowerPack Takes Flight

Once you've provided this information, a BlueSky UC engineer will take the wheel. They'll upload the details into our system, creating a custom PowerPack instance specifically for your Microsoft 365 tenant.

3. Granting PowerPack Access

With your PowerPack instance up and running, the BlueSky UC team will generate special Authorization URLs. These URLs will be shared with you for the next step.

4. Reviewing Permissions

Here's where you come back in! You'll need to access the Authorization URL using a Global Administrator account for your Microsoft 365 tenant. This URL will clearly display the permissions PowerPack needs to function.

You'll need to give these permissions TWICE.

Don't worry, these permissions are simply for reading and populating your company's information within the PowerPack App. The app cannot function without these permissions, but they ensure secure data handling.

5. Information Population

Once you've authorized the permissions, it's time for the system to work its magic! This process involves seamlessly integrating your company's data into the PowerPack App. Please be aware that while Teams PowerPack checks for new data every 4 hours, the availability of the latest information depends on Microsoft APIs, which can take up to 28 hours to update.

6. Administrator Access

While your information settles in, our BlueSky UC engineer will be busy setting up access for the authorized administrators you listed earlier. Once everything is complete, you'll be notified and ready to explore the full potential of PowerPack!
